Other than feeling under the weather, I had an amazing time relaxing in the sun with the Sheppard’s celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of Nan & Grandad Sheppard. Didn’t get as involved with the camera as I had hoped but I’m happy with what I got overall.

built only last Summer and hardly ridden!

Yet another trip to london and another outcome as usual. This time instead of focusing on people, LDN, materials, textures and urbanization I looked at the structure and atmosphere of London focusing on areas such as the Barbican, St Paul’s, Museum of London and Covent Garden. I visited the Street Photography Exhibition and it gave me inspiration. Looking at photos from the 1800′s being all black and white and particular on the architecture and people surrounding the area I wanted to create and other version using my love of black and white photography and add a little twist. I am basing my university project on colour within the city and I decided to create an image with two dimensions, both using black and white with a splash of colour.

There are some photos purely black and white and some with a little hidden piece of colour. Can you spot it? Some are very very slight!

As part of my uni project I have decided to go with the love of photography and focus on something that I’ve always wanted to do. Making small collections of swatches from all the photoshoots I’ve done in London.  Once my project has finished I will put these pieces in a store to sell in the area and see where it gets me. This way is so much more interesting than a standard photo in a frame.

Following from the sticker shoot in Camden last week I thought it best to involve the people themselves. Getting a few/alot of shots of the product in its home town. I wanted to create a really lid back and casual atmosphere and in order to do this i had to literally follow everyone around with the camera pretending that I wasn’t there pretty much. The idea was to get bad shots and transform them into something more effective, giving the illusion that this is the day and age of the LDN brand and this is how they live and potentially what its for (going out ad having a laugh).

For example shots that are of centre, out of focus, pieces chopped off gives the idea that the photographer was non-other than one of their own or just a point of view. It was an informal shoot just wondering round Camden and finding a few spots.

It puts the product into perspective and the material will hopefully spark ideas or even be used in the future. These specific shots were made in order to put into a small publication I’m currently making but it’s all a bit up in the air atm.

so happy with the outcome of these photos and had a great time taking them. Luckily the weather was on our side and it ran smoothly as it was all played purely by ear.

It’s not often I do posts about myself but in this instance I want to share my new piece art. Very first tattoo and a very successful one at that. I love it. Sunflower symbolizes happiness and rose, beauty.

I plan to extend it into a half sleeve maybe one day.

Yesterday I went into London to take a few photos for uni project/magazine I’m slowly putting together. I took a few LDN stickers with me and went round Camden mainly and tagged. Shame I didn’t have any with the WYF website as people would know what the stickers were all about that way but theres always next time, I know what my next move from here is and hopefully I can get on my way sometime within the next week or so.

Some images seem similar but been edited differently. Some are desaturated, distorted, blurred, cropped, darkened just to get the London effect. A few being more sinister than others but purely experimental. After all, it’s all about trial and error.

I wouldn’t consider myself the next Bill Oddy or have any interest in birds but I saw these wondering round in my garden today and I had to photograph them. Unfortunately I didn’t have the right lense to get the ideal image but I captured what I could and looked these birds up on the internet and it so happens that they are Egyptian Geese and are considered a pest in the UK! correct me if I’m wrong but they are incredible! Not your average Goose I would say and it was great to see them up close! they’re strangely friendly and I want to see what the issue is with their pestly reputation! They didn’t take any crap from our own Geese that’s for sure!
